Happy New Year! {2011}

Happy New Year!  Welcome 2011!  We spent New Years Eve with our friends the bubs.    We left mid day Friday and made it down just in time to pull an "all nighter".  The neighbors put on a pretty big fireworks show at midnight, so we watched the display and counted down the minutes to 2011.  (Minus the dads, baby bub, and lady bub.)

Here are the big kids.  Bubba & Big10 (both 10 years old right now), and babyG & lil' bub (both 6 years old right now).  We have Spring birthdays and the bub's have fall birthdays, but they are still pretty darn close.

This time last year I did this great and wonderful post about all of my resolutions for 2010.  Like most new years resolutions, I didn't keep any of them!!  So this year I am just winging it.  I will always have things that I can improve on, but I am thinking that tackling them one day at a time is my best option.  I have decided that I will start posting more video's on the blog though.  No matter how LONG it takes them to upload!  I don't want to forget (EVER!!) what G's sweet laughter sounds like. . .or how big10's hustles during a ball game.

(Okay. . .after two attempts I am having MUCH trouble uploading my video.  So, maybe I'll start that tomorrow.)

I hope that this year finds us all happy, healthy, and content with the blessings we have been given.

Our Visit at the home of My Three Bubs

This past weekend we made a trip down to the beach to visit Brandi, Daddy, and the bubs. The bubs dad was celebrating his birthday and this has become somewhat of an annual trip for us. We have such a good time when we get to visit with this family. They are GREAT!!! This was the first chance I have had to get down there to meet baby bub. And boy, I have been missing out. He is the most precious baby boy on earth, and such a good baby. He is really laid back and just happy all the time!! The Bub family and our family have been friends for many, many years. Back before we had any kiddos!! I can barely remember those days.

Big10 and Big Bub are only 4 months apart, and Baby G and Lil Bub are 6 months apart.

I must apologize to baby bub, but you will not have a playmate in our family!! We are FINISHED!!

Saturday was the big day, we went to the beach early in the day and then had the birthday celebration that night. Great food & good cake!! Brandi & her hubby are EXCELLENT cooks!! We joked about how we would not have to eat for weeks after returning home.

Big10 adores all little babies these days, and baby bub was no exception. Although he called him "it" & "she" for most of the first day. This precious baby looks just like his big bubs!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture of the kids with baby bub. They were both so genuinely happy to see him!! We all fell in love with him within minutes.

Well, that's pretty much it. We mostly just hung out and relaxed alot while we were there. And of course, Brandi and I talked "blogging". It was a nice trip, and I can't wait until our next visit!!

Bloggy Weekend Trip

So, I just wanted to announce that I am probably not going to be blogging over the weekend. Not that I normally blog everyday, I mostly wanted to make this announcement because I am just excited and I want everyone to know what I am doing!! My family and I are going to sunny Florida tomorrow night to visit my lovely blogging friend Brandi and her bunch. One of Brandi's special boys (the hubby) is celebrating a birthday and we are joining in the fun!!! We went and spent this same weekend with them last year and it was alot of fun. I think Brandi and I talked more in that one weekend than we did in the years that we lived near each other!! At one point I was REALLY SHY, but I am over that now!! FINALLY!! Since the trip Brandi & I have really developed a pretty good friendship. Even though it consist almost solely of email conversations and blog updating!! But hey, whatever works!! Brandi you are an AWESOME friend!! I can't wait to see you guys tomorrow!!

Anyway. . . . . . .tonight is jam packed!! I am doing laundry, packing, cleaning, cooking, cleaning, and packing!!! And BLOGGING, of course!!
