Gracyn is Fourteen

**BLOG UPDATE TIME**

On March 17th, the baby turned 14.  When this girls birthday rolls around, we tend to celebrate for days.

Day of celebration with just our little family. . .

I had big plans for these cute balloons.  However the guy at Winn Dixie over filled them with helium and they were flat on the floor by the time we got home from Tanner's track meet. :(

Gray had her friends over to hang out, and have a Karaoke night.

I love this girl so much. . .

Happy fourteenth birthday Gracyn Elizabeth!!

Let's Get Ugly

This year Gracyn hosted her first Ugly Christmas Sweater party.  She invited her closest girlfriends to come over for food, and a fun gift exchange.  They all did such a great job with their sweaters.  Most were handmade.  They had a great time on the "runway" modeling their creations.
We had Gray's aunt come in as a guest judge, and had to call in an older sister to vote on the Grand Prize of Ugliest Sweater.  The Ugliest Sweater award was a tie between Gracyn and her friend Phoenix.

She really enjoyed the time with her girls and just getting dressed up silly.  I'm pretty sure she immediately started planning her 2nd annual Ugly Sweater Party.

NMS Pageant 2017

We were up bright and early on Thursday, November 16th for Gray's last middle school pageant.  First thing in the morning they had a closed practice from 8:30-11:00am.  I used that time to run and pick up flowers for my beauty to have after the pageant, and get some things together that we would need for the day.

As soon as we were done with practice, we hopped in the car and headed over to DV8 salon for hair and makeup with the two most wonderful women I know.  They love these girls and work hard to make sure that they look and feel their best.  Gray left the salon ready to take the stage feeling confident and beautiful.

We went in with plans for her to have her hair pulled back, but when they took it down from the rollers it just fell perfectly and we could not pull it back.  It was fabulous!

Dressed and ready to head back to the theatre for pictures and Pageant.

Gracyn was the first contestant in her age group.  She did such a good job on stage and looked just amazing.  And she had so much fun with her girlfriends.

She was chosen for Top Ten and was so excited.  After the pageant, we all lined up for pictures with our girl and then had dinner at Wings to celebrate and end our day.

We found her dress out of town this year at Just For You Formals. The ladies at the dress shop were so helpful, and the alterations were right on point.  The dress, the earrings, the shoes, just everything was so perfect and they made it so easy for us.

Celebrating Thirteen

Way back at the end of March we were celebrating baby girls thirteenth birthday.  We had lunch with the family and a small get together of friends at the house.  I love celebrating this girl of mine.  She is incredibly fun and always the life of the party.

I'll let the pictures tell the story. . . .

(What's a birthday without a little public embarrassment?)

Gracyn is THIRTEEN

On March 17th, Gray turned T H I R T E E N.  I officially have two teenagers now.  Even though this one has been acting like a full blown teen for years now.

I love her spunky personality.  She keeps us laughing, and entertained at all times.  She loves Netflix, watching scary movies, face time calls with her friends, and McDonald's milkshakes.  This spring she has started hiking with me some and I'm going to venture out and say that she enjoys that as well.'

She asked for a Ukulele for her birthday this year.  She was thrilled to open it the morning of her big day.  Her birthday always falls during Spring break, so she also had the day off from school.

She asked to go to the zoo with a friend.  So we did.

We ended the day with some cupcakes, the birthday song, and blowing out the candles.
I love this little one.
