Christmas Craft Extravaganza 2010

Today I did a little shopping to gather supplies for this weekend.  I am officially naming my weekend the 2010 Christmas Craft Extravaganza.  I have a few ideas that I have gathered from blog land that I am ready to try.
I have made a promise to share my results no matter how the projects turn out.  Pass or Fail, you will see the results.  Aren't you SO excited?

The kids will even be working on a simple craft of their own. . .
I'm sure I have mentioned this on the blog before.  But I sure do LOVE Hobby Lobby!! I am practically on a first name basis with the HL staff these days.

Tomorrow is a late night of work for me as we are conducting our year end inventory.  But after that, the crafting is on!!  I hope you all enjoy your weekend.  And don't forget that Sunday I will be drawing two winners for the give away I posted about here.

Crafty Stuff

In my last post I mentioned that I worked on a small project this weekend.  I get in these moods every now and then, and I just want to repaint my entire house and make a whole bunch of stuff.  However, due to lack of time and funding.  This is what I have done so far. . . .

Dollar Tree frame ($1)

Glidden Paint Testers (FREE!!)

Super cute frame for a new family picture of my BIL & SIL. . .
Before, the brown frame just blended in with the color of the photo.  Now, I feel like it really stands out and I just LOVE it!!
What do you think?

Third Annual Gingerbread House ♥

Saturday when we got home from our visit with Santa, we cleared the table and started to construct our Gingerbread house. This is the third year that we have built a Gingerbread house. Before that, the kid's were just too young to attempt the construction while keeping my sanity. These days they are both all about it, and I barely have to do anything. . . .except snap photo's of course. Here are a few of the ones that I got this time around.
Daddy joined in this year, it was his first time. When we were done he said "Was that fun?". He wasn't really into to sticky messy uncooperative icing. Neither was I, that is how he got the job!!
BabyG loves her daddy. And Big10 loves the icing that comes in these kits. Personally, I think it is disgusting.
Big10 decorated the Christmas tree for the front yard of our cookie house.
The kids and dad quickly lost interest and this is what was left. A huge mess on the table for mom to clean and a Gingerbread house with 1/2 the roof decorated.
I still love it, and we are proudly displaying in the kitchen through the Christmas holidays.
Have you all made your Gingerbread house yet? What are you waiting for? My only advice. . .put down some wax paper before you start!!
