Weekend Adventures ~ Part II

On to the photos from Part II of our weekend adventure. It really is impossible to make a trip to the beach with our kids, without actually putting our feet in the sand. Who cares if the ocean is as cold as ice? Not these two children!!

On our way out Sunday morning we ran by the beach just for an hour or so and let them run and play. I stayed snuggled & tightly wrapped in my beach towel while I watched them run, and run, and RUN. The ocean looked so big this time. Both Big10 and babyG just look so tiny standing next to the big ocean in these first to pictures.

Collecting seashells is one of our favorite beach activities. We were able to find some really pretty ones this time.

I love watching babyG play at the beach. It is really just her favorite place in the entire world to be. She loves it and she just runs and jumps and screams with joy the whole time!!

Finally Big10 announced that it was time for us to go home! Of course babyG could have stayed out there all day, but we were all cold!! So we changed and got cleaned up and hit the road for our trip home. It wasn't long before this baby was out.

We had so much fun, and I can't wait to plan our next weekend get away. I have something in mind for the beginning of the new year that involves snow, and intertubes. The kids still don't know about this yet, so it is a big secret!! Shhhh!

Weekend Adventures ~ Part I

Is it possible to have a two part story for a short weekend trip? Yes, because this particular post has picture overload as it is. And I have some fun pictures of the kids frolicking in the ICY COLD ocean to share in Part II.

We left Friday night to go visit our friends Brandi, Daddy Bub, and the three bubs for the weekend. Let me just say that I could never live in the home of the bubs. They wake up EARLY!! I mean crack of dawn early!! We got up Saturday morning and were able to take the boys to the skate park and still be back home by lunch time to prepare for the big Bama game.

Here is a shot of Big Bub trying to teach Big10 a thing or two about skating, tricks, etc. Big10 did not know what hit him!! He immediately tried to make it down this ramp and hit the pavement right off the bat!!

Let me be the first to tell you that Big10 may very well be the most competitive 9 year old boy on the planet. He expects to be a natural at everything he attempts. And boy does he get frustrated when he does not perform to his standard of perfection.

Here you can see that he is letting his frustration get the best of him.
This photo just says I am beyond frustrated, I am DONE!!

The bubs did a good job trying to show him some stuff, and believe it or not he did learn a few things.

When we got back to the house we enjoyed lots of really good snacks and some GREAT SEC football action. The two little kids really played well together the entire weekend. They pretty much disappeared into the play room and we did not hear from them during the game at all.

Here they are starring as Super Woman and Batman. Superhero cuties!! The big boys joined them at one point for some play time. I just could not manage to get a shot of all the kids together actually looking at the camera all weekend. This is the best I got!!
