Remember This?

**I've decided to join in on the Works for Me Wednesday blog party over at We are that Family. This is a post from a few weeks ago of my most recent organizing efforts. Enjoy!!

Who remembers my "mission organization"? A few weeks ago I set out to declutter and somewhat organize my laundry room. Okay, okay, so it has been over a month! Sometimes I get ahead of myself!! Over the weekend I FINALLY organized that laundry room. Now you will see what I have seen, how badly the rooms needs to be painted and decorated! I guess painting the laundry room will be added to the list.

Here is a yucky before! I have so many cleaning products that I don't use. My new "green" cleaning methods will help me weed out some of these. As I run out, they will not be replaced.

And who remembers how excited I was when I received this super cute vinyl bird in the mail from Lewa's? I finally found this birdie a home. I decided to put it across from the laundry room as you are walking into the kitchen. This doorway is near my new backpack station.

What do you think? I really want to get some words to go out beside him. But I'm not sure exactly what to get. Hobby Lobby has a cute "Count Your Blessings" vinyl. That may be a possibility, I'll keep you posted. Who knows how long it will be before I get words added!?!?




I also spent a little time working on a new project this weekend. Come back later this week and I will share the results with you. I hope you can stand the suspense. I'll give you a little hint, it has something to do with windows & burlap. Hmmm. . . . .

Mission Organization

Hello extended weekend, you are welcome here!!

I am so glad that I am off work tomorrow for the holiday. We are planning a get together with friends, food, and of course, fireworks for Saturday and I can't wait!! First things first though, I am going to start some organizing "jobs". I was supposed to start at the beginning of summer, but have yet to do ANYTHING!!

My first area to organize tonight (or possibly tomorrow) will be the laundry room. I am undecided on sharing the "before" pictures because they are just embarrassing. I will see what I can do, I guess it depends on how good it looks when I am done. I really HATE doing laundry, and the jumbled up laundry room just makes it that much worse!! So wish me luck, and if you have any encouraging ideas, please send them my way.

One more thing, this is totally unrelated and SO random, but. . . .I don't know if I have ever mentioned this on the blog before, but my husband works for Blue Bell Ice Cream. Awesome job, right?!? "Sell all we can and eat the rest." Well, lastnight that sweetie brought home a new flavor called Butter Crunch. It is SO GOOD. I guess it has chunks of butterfinger and chocolate in it!! It makes for a wonderful milk shake. So run out and get some!! You should be able to find it on sale somewhere due to the holiday weekend!!
