November 14, 2016. The Middle school beauty walk. Gray did not participate as a sixth grader, but could not wait to do it this year. She really enjoyed having a day off from school to get all dolled up and hang with her girlfriends.
We had to meet at the theatre at 8:30 for practice.
After practice we headed directly to the salon just a few blocks down the road. Here she is before her spray tan.
The salon that we went to is closed on Mondays, so they were open only for a handful of girls that were getting ready for the NMS pageant. Gray is close friends with all the girls that were there getting ready, so it made the day so special.

And she was able to share the stage with her two best friends. :) Gray was selected as a top ten beauty, and she couldn't have been more pleased.

Afterward, everyone got in line to get a picture with our shining star.
After the pageant we went to Baumhowers for Wings and a little more time with friends.
It was a great day for Gray. She is already talking about what type of dress she will wear next year.
